Feel like he is his own worst enemy. It is a bit sad actually and I think we all know people like him, that just never seems to get it together. Hope it works out for him in the future.

I just noticed at PCS that Dennis has never (!) ridden any monument.
That is strange. As a two times ITT WC, I would have expected he‘d do greatly in the flatter one day races…

Not sure he has the temperament for coaching but his knowledge re track pursuiting and TTs is obviously high level. Not all retired riders want to stay within the sport when they finish up. He's had a long career and had a lot of early success on the track.

Have you actually looked at his career race days? He very rarely raced any 1 day races so it shouldn’t be a surprise that he never rode a monument.

He will retire with a couple of ITT world titles, a stage at all 3 GT’s and a Olympic silver medal. It seems like he got it together pretty well.
Thats not what I meant with what I said. Wasnt talking about his career at all… funny that is what you thought.
As I said, I hope he has a good future after retirement and doesn’t get into any trouble.

Have to say I loved his massive troll-pull today, blasted to the front, got me all excited for the reappearance of Peak Dennis... 2 seconds later it was over.
He's been smiling quite a bit from what I've seen, seems he's been enjoying himself which is good to see.

Dennis was always there at the end, finishing just before Kuss and Roglič. Brought a lot of stability and experience to the team. And at one stage i remember Healy being all over the peloton with attacks. Ineos trying to talk him out of it. Then Dennis had a short chat with Healy. The next thing that happened is Healy was seen at the back of the peloton.
Good job and great to see that in the final Giro edition of his career. To be a part of the winning team!
