I'm pretty sure they no longer give BBs. It's gonna be either Androids or iPhones/iPads. :D

Frodo Cavendish gets given an etch-a-sketch. They used to give him crayons at Columbia HGH but he kept eating them.

I think they finally watched all five seasons of "The Wire" and are now using burner phones.

We can speculate who he is but if the next blog is as boring as this one no one will care who he is anyway.

It's not a patch on the 'Secret Footballer' which is/was quite insightful at times.

Definitely Anglo, probably Garmin.

Definitely not Anglo, but they are from Europe.
Doesn't ride for Garmin which leaves you 9 World Tour Shimano equipped teams to pick from. (Well 8, doesn't ride for Sky either)
Yes, does ride for a World Tour team.
Did ride the Tour Down Under (So if you work out Europeans on World Tour teams who rode the Tour Down Under) you are halfway there
Rode in October contrary to what it says on his bio, but could be argued his season finished in September.
The articles are not first hand, they are being edited and translated prior to publication.
His bio mentions him doing well in classics. I would say that was open to debate, not done much for many years.
It also made mention of having ridden for some suspicious teams, that would be 100% correct.
Been a pro for coming on a decade.
Doesn't write a very interesting blog.

Amusing watching everyone convince themselves its an Anglo rider though.

I felt the same way until I had a detailed talk with some friends on the team. They all swear they have not seen any dope on the team nor is there any pressure to dope. Och is an expert in plausible deniability.

His comments on the sport are accurate, it is much cleaner then many think....but calling out journalists as bitter is a joke. They have been around the sport for decades, they have been burned over, and over, and over.

Wade's site is one of the best on the internet. He is a great guy and really gets the sport.

My guess......Adam Hansen
Strange, was thinking the same thing. Nice guy, never really rode with Armstrong, grew up in rural Queensland, very good MTB'er and hasn't ridden Shimano since Di2 came out.

He's also not too familiar with the background of the sport coming from tri then MTB

there was a Skil-Shimano rider who did the 2010 Geelong loop/circuit and Wade followed him, or the Dutch guy had the video on his bike. The Dutch guy had an Aussie girlfriend or spent time with his partner in Aus in the offseason. could be him
Koen de Kort? It's possible, he did ride the 2010 worlds.

Eisel has been named in this thread, wouldn't surprise me if it's true. The opinions stated in those blogs certainly match other things I've read/heard him say, especially in regards to doping, and he's obviously quite anglophile.

thats the bit everyone is insistent on, your use of "quite" would be correct, he is not anglo, but he does have anglophile links.

As for Eisel. Not a Sky Rider.

I think considering recent events the next blog will give him away anyway.

Koen?

Teams with dodgy history? Check.
Rode multiple Grand Tours in 2012? Check.
Ridden Well in Classics? Debatable.
Rides D12 but hasn't always? Check.
Anglophone? Not native English speaker, but Check.
Rode Tour Down Under? Check.
Rides World Tour? Check.
Ended his season in September? Rode in early October, but Check.

Could be.

re: first clue

(top) Riders with a doping suggestion when googled (as the first):
JVDB
Gilbert
Evans
Wiggins
Froome
Andy

(top) Riders without a doping suggestion when googled (as the first):
Greipel
Cav
Hushovd
Goss
Hesjedal (was 2nd)
Contador (truly surprising)
Gerrans
Farrar (Perhaps stretching top rider a bit...)
Canc

Major problem with this methodology: google results change depending on the user and the computer they are sent from. Your method could be used to give you some clues, but nothing definitive. Unfortunately.

It is pretty lame that they use Koen to write his own blog and then also as the Secret Pro.
