The whole point of the proposed T&R process is to enable the UCIIC to forensically examine the accusations made in the USADA RD against the UCI.

So Brailsfords statement is totally disingenuous BS, pretending that the process is about getting at the truth about riders' doping. That is not the main point of this proposed process at all.

Transparent BS.

Yep, so far so good.

Of course not. Let's think it through.

Sign a GC rider who can ride faster than the opposition. . . h'mm let's see, that Contador fella, he already rides for us. . . Tick

What else do we need, let's see, a team of riders to support GC captain. Could do with someone with a decent engine, and the ability to climb quick enough to put everyone under the kosh, for a climb or two or any given mountain stage. Let's call him a super domestique. What's that you say, the guy who played that exact role for last year's tour winner is available. Let's sign him then. That can't do any harm.

What else, tactical and backroom support for the team. We're a bit short in that department, OK let's look for someone with a bit of experience. Oh, what's that you say, a relatively junior DS who has been working for the team that won lots of races last year, he's a free agent. Seems like a sensible decision to sign him up.

Fine.

Which are what? Because he has a shady past, the only people he would ever employ are people who use drugs? Or because he wants to win he's likely to employ people with a pretty decent track record of, uhmm, winning? Because I'm confused. You seem to be suggesting that Riis is on a personal crusade for dirty cycling. Is that really right?

Bla, bla. bla. Riis wants to win. His history as a rider and a manager suggests he only knows one way to win. Even non Sky fans can see that.

I thought the UCIIC was likely to be ditched if the T&R process was being put in place. Supposedly the UCI is strapped for cash so they can't have the both running concurrently. Brailsford seems concerned that the T&R process, should it proceed, will gather lots of information but they (the UCI) haven't worked out what the heck they'll do with the information. Poor planning. I think that is a valid concern, no? Or do we know what the final aim of the T&R process is and what is likely to be done with all the information gathered?

What Brailsford is saying is what the hell is the point of letting 100 guys off their doping offences if nobody has worked out what the actual benefit is yet.

Only the tinfoil hatters of The Clinic forum could try and spin it into proof that Brailsford is trying to hide doping.

You guys ought to get into writing fantasy novels. Some of you are very talented at it.

The actual benefit is that the under the radar enablers like Leinders , Ibarguren and perhaps Bartalucci and the team managers will be exposed and could be banned from cycling.

OFC Brailsford won't want any of that.

He won't have any experienced doctors left to treat for saddle sores

The Amnesty & T&R process was being insisted upon by WADA & USADA & CCN as a condition of their joining the UCIIC investigation.

This was obstructed and denied by the UCI until the last minute. The UCI's blocking and stalling tactics continue, the latest being their whinge about being too poor to continue. It's not the UCI who want the T&R amnesty, it's the UCIIC and the other parties, so the proper detailed forensic investigation can be enabled to proceed.

Brailsford knows this too, and is being disingenuous claiming that the reason for the amnesty is to investigate the riders. It's not, and he knows that.

Why has this thread suddenly become a serious discussion about Sky? We already have a thread for that. I thought this was just meant to be a lighthearted bit of fun, judging by the opening few pages.

Sky-drones flooding the forum and taking everything remotely fun serious.

Hey, some people on the Leinders thread think that Sky had a man cremated to hide the doping experiments they performed on him - fun doesn't begin to describe this place...

Who?

10char

Geert Leinders.

You know, the doping doctor with 13 years of experience as a team doctor in the notorious EPO era that Sky decided to hire just a matter of months after stating they wouldn't hire doctors who'd previously worked in cycling.

Nothing to see here. Move along please.

Do you stand by your claim that there isn't a ''whiff of suspicion about Sky''?

It's remarkable that you have the cheek to deride other forum members when you come out with stuff like that.
