Agents have been looking into whether Armstrong was involved in an organized doping operation as a member of the team sponsored by the U.S. Postal Service from 1999 to 2004, and since August the grand jury has been hearing testimony from Armstrong's associates and confidants

This is farther than any other publication has ever gone, and this is just sentence #3.

Consider this, it's probably better that this come out as a series of cluster bombs, rather than a daisy-killer.

The people who know what has been pulled from the article should just leak it here, or on twitter ;)

People have been talking on this board as though we know that material has been pulled from the article, but do we really know that? All I have seen is unsourced twitters from nyvelocity.

Based on a first read of the SI website summary, the article seems pretty substantive. There is certainly material here I was not previously aware of.

Here's a sample of the online preview, and there's still lots of good stuff.

• When Italian police and customs officials raided the home of longtime Armstrong teammate Yarolslav Popovych last November, they discovered documents and PEDs as well as texts and e-mails linking Armstrong's team to controversial Italian physician Michele Ferrari as recently as 2009, though Armstrong had said he cut ties with Ferrari in 2004.

Yes, we do know, although all you'll get is more unsourced (read anonymous) confirmations.

The question that CAN'T be answered yet (as the author and editors aren't the leaks) is how much of it is still in. I was under the impression it originally ran as long as 12 pages.

And a side story about Conte being approached by Armstrong's legal team.

Victor Conte, who had a long battle against federal agent Jeff Novitzky before finally admitting that he doped athletes, has said that his legal team have been met by lawyers representing Lance Armstrong.

The purpose of that appears to be an effort to build information against Novitzky, who Conte has claimed broke the law in order to secure convictions against himself and others. He reiterated those claims on the Yahoo Sports In Depth programme, where he gave his interview.

This is good. But I've kinda given up on the doping stuff. He can shove it all off as in the past, he is all about Livestrong now. If that was in there he would have no where to hide. Nothing to retreat on and truly he would be screwed.

Since the Scoop Guys are ALWAYS wrong, this comment is a bit foreboding for Lance.....maybe it WON'T be a watered down version.

Yikes, maybe NOW is the time for Lance to start freaking out yikes.
Always wrong?

Amazing how 'RaceRadio' had this 13 hours ago on a different thread........

thanx jager !!

every fact reported in the article is new (not previously known from the landis emails) and priceless...

my attention was caught by the first-ever texas pre-cancer evidence of steroid/testosterone doping (t/e rations exceeding the threshold)

this should go far with the cancer community and the the medics pondering over lances cancer causes...

Now on the basis that these bullet points are teasers to drag us into the article, what else is in there??

On the face of this there's angles I must admit to no knowledge of. The Don caitlain stuff?? what's Hemasisst?? there was obviously more to the POPO story than could be brushed off.

Bring it on!!

Wow. We went this morning from "SI article pulled," to a teaser article that hints at a genuine bombshell.

Looks like SI did some actual journalism here. Now watch all the other news outlets start pouring on. Gonna be a rough week for Armstong.

Whit? I'm not a fan boy. Its just in the past few months I've started to care more about the fraud of using Livestrong over the doping. This article promises to have good stuff. Just without the Livestrong public changing info it will lack the killer blow.

No kidding. One now has to question any work done at his lab.

The truly ironic thing is that Armstrong had T:E ratios as bad as when Landis was busted.
