so any news on this press conf, it is is 10:00 CET then it should have started already

I spotted this on the CF Twitter:
French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD) to hold press conf. in morning to release results from past 3 months of tests. (L'Equipe)

But I have not been able to find anything on L'Equipe.

Well i think we can safely conclude that if it's started they haven't said anything of significance. If they announced that a top rider had tested positive it would be on every cycling site on the world within seconds.

Not sure I've ever been to a press conference that started on time.

the rule i believe is the afld would have to first notify riders within 10 days that they failed an a test and that they have the right for a b test. that's why i don't believe any names will be released yet.

Hahaha, well it's been an hour and 45 minutes, so we must be getting somewhere... The cheats must be getting pretty nervous about now, unless they have already received notification...

again the cheats know exactly who they are because by the rules they were to receive a 10 day notice.

They will probably just go over their report about the UCI's incompetence and the complaint about it to WADA.

I guess at most they'll give the number of riders implicated, probably not even that?

yes that. and as i wrote earlier the dpa reported they will announce when the retesting of 2009 samples start finish. they will also present the records/evidence of the two french doctors responsible for that 10 page afld report. the uci incompetence will receive another hit.

im niether - kinda irrate and upset

Weve put lists of 40 riders and those who are innocent out of that group are tarnished with the same brush as the cheats

Like I said release the 17 riders who are clean

Excellent point. The AFLD could at least clear riders from using CERA to counter the endless stream of rumors.

I'd like to think Sastre just chose his moment well, but at the same time find it hard to believe that the top 20 were all clean.

Okay Im biased having my favoirte rider, my hero in that group but the sport needs to clear clean riders just as much as they have to expose cheats
