Oh say it ain't so! You jest, no? I'd complain to SBS but they won't listen to me. I've been imitated/mimicked on their site before and they did nothing.

I stand corrected. Just took a look at some of the quotes on the site today. Man, there are some major Evans haters. We are talking guys pulling over 50 plus red arrows/thumbs with the joke of an approval system they run. All of it (critique of Cadel) is unwarranted. He's the one GC guy who can hold his head high after last night. By bigger Evans fans I will make a distinction, you can name every damn person on his team and their strengths/weaknesses plus recent results, these people are 'blind' followers barracking for the Aussie through patriotic allegiance. The ones who if you put every rider in the same jersey they couldn' tell you who Evans is, despite that chin of his.

Sorry, i think I misunderstood your post which is why I said "say what?"

Look I didnt really want to sink the boots into Mr. T and the Tan man.

I understand that you are dealing with a broad range of people watching and that people who actually have a reasonably deep understanding of cycling are few on the ground. I get frustrated at things that a lot of people would not even notice and so I have to be careful not to be a grumpy old git.

I guess that I just feel that the time is now to get someone on there who can explain some of the complexities of the sport in an understandable way so that the thousands of people who are tuning in can learn about what is at times a pretty esoteric sport. I can cope with Mr. T doing the start of the show and the introductions but he needs to stop asking questions - of anyone, becuase this is when he starts rapidly sliding down an increasingly slippery slop of ignorance.

I rate Matt Keenan as he does a good job of explaining things like an echelon, without sounding like a ****er. The coverage needs an anchor that is 100% dependable and that person is not the T meister.

Nothin personal - its as plain as the thinning hair on his head.

Blogs are awesome. Learning about Tanman's manboobs and time at the massage table instead of working is the highlight of the Tour so far.

Haters going to hate.

Stop talking sense, you're post count is too low for that.

This is what I was looking for. Here I was thinking I was the only one. I've never gotten 100 thumbs down though. Some of my comments years back upset the softies jumping on in July that I had a few imitators...forced me to change my moniker and pretend I'm from a more Siesta oriented location. That's fooled some of the people there as well...they thought I was for real with my location. I stopped going near the site simply because of the blogs...they really are terrible. Heck, the new website is so evil my browser and virus software think it's attacking my computer. If that isn't a sign from above I don't know what is.

Galic.....Are you the guy who said he his location was spain(?) one time before. As i was defending a guy a month or two back who apparently changed his location. The guy was just trying to tell all the idiots there with their heads in the sand to wake up and see the truth. It was around the time Hamilton came out beccause the guys there were making a big thing about how Mick Rogers now gets an Olympic medal for 2004 and i was trying to point out all the dodgy teams he rode for but i got censored.

Also every time i seemed to post something bad about LA i would get censored. And the one or two times my posts got through like timmy said i also got lots of thumbs downs

None of you mentioned the presentation of the young riders jersey.

Thommo called it as Jeannesson. Then when the jersey was being presented you could hear Tan say "I'm not sure" or something along those lines. Thommo obviously asked him who it was.

The fact that both didn't know the name of a rider being presented was amatuerish.

lol @ the finger gesture. I noticed that the other night too.

It's got nothing to do with his cycling knowledge, but Tan is the weirdest looking bloke ive seen for a while.
if indeed, he is a bloke. Could be a famous ladyboy, or a Ming Dynasty eunuch courtesan. Who knows. Perhaps someone could volunteer for a Crying Game moment.

TdF prediction: if Cadel does not limit his deficit to either of the Schlecks by 2'00 by day's end, he will lose the Tour. #sbstdf

Look its a real dilemma for the lad. He has a head that is too boofy for the shave, but what type of hair piece?

Personally I think he should go full "rock and roll" with a Brian Mannix style blond power mullett.

I like the idea of Tommo being the most rock and roll bloke in cycling.
he was actually looking good at the 2009 Aus Champs in Bunninyong. At Geelong, it was thinner. Thing is, Toma cant pull off the academic cerebral prof look, or pomade it back like Chirac, he just does not have Tan's panache to do that. Even a beard and he could not brylcream it backwards. Toma is actually not a bad looking guy for the doctors wives, but he is dumb as dog$hit. Not a Guy Rundle and can shave it off tho. Nor has the machismo and testosterone hewn jaw of Dave Macka. That is exogenous testo eh Macka?

The most amazing thing about Tomolaris is just how little he seems to have learnt about cycling despite covering the Tour for 20 years. Kudos to him for creating cycling as a major sport for SBS though. I do wish he was more objective and less of a fanboi, especially a Lance fanboi.. I quite like Tanboy
