But the interesting question to me is: will Moser finally rise from his ashes?

If you mean to perform at GC level, I doubt that. If you mean shining during the the easier stages designed for Sagan, than he could, but I think he will be working for Sagan. Cannondale goes to TdS mainly as preparation for TdF, and the only goal there is to get Sagan the green jersey. And for that, they have to seriously work on their train, as there are hardly any or only very few sprints specifically suitable for Sagan and not suitable for Cav. So imho, the only way Moser can shine is to bring back some break only by himself, similarly like he did that during on of the stages of ToC last year.

I say it's gonna be close between Spilak and TVG.
Ulissi to come third. He can go all in, since he won't do the tour.

I was wondering why Sojasun got a wildcard instead of the Italian pro continental teams coming fresh out of the Giro?

I'm guessing it's partly because after the start, the race doesn't go into the Italian-speaking area of Switzerland and because the Italian Pro-Conti teams aren't exactly 'fresh' coming out of the Giro where they all raced.

However, looking back it doesn't seem like they traditionally get invited either. E.g. Last year when Acqua e Sapone was at a loose end following their non-Giro invite, they didn't race either. (Might be that they don't want to either). So, you end up with other Pro-Conti teams being invited - it was Team Type 1 and SpiderTech for 2012. Sojasun didn't get invited to the CdD (I guess Bretagne got the invite over them) so the organisers know they will turn up with a pretty much their strongest team trying to get in shape for the TdF. (Hivert, Feiullu). And you know Sojasun and their riders aren't going to do anything to embarrass you as an organiser.

This year's race could see Thibaut Pinot finally take a stage race win. After a number of quieter years, he broke through on the biggest scene in last year's Tour de France and early indications this year are that he is going even stronger now.

My favorites Thibaut Pinot, Simon Spilak, Tejay Van Garderen and Roman Kreuziger.

I hope andy will be good, come on lazy **** ;)

He wasn't that lazy in California. ;)

I too hope he does something. Not completely sure he will because it's just a prep race, but he definitely should.

No reason why this man can't take the overall win in the Swiss Alps:

The Sagan/Demare/Gallopin/Boonen/Farrar/Goss/Haussler/Degenkolb battle could be pretty good as well.

Lokok like TdS is no Semaine Coppi et Bartali. I doubt he'll manage to win this now.
