It is now or never for Thibaut. The coming years belong to the next generation like Pogacar, Evenepoel and Bernal. Hoping for the best, expecting...yeah I don't know. It could be anything between podium and DNF after a bee sting or crashing because of sheep suddenly deciding to cross the road in front of him!
Now or never...Goran Ivanisevic winks at you.

Slight difference with gc team strategies though when you look for example IG and FDJ, with Ineos aggressively riding at the front as late as possible and keeping out of trouble quite well when crash came, almost.

Pinot needs all the help he can get to avoid his 7th dnf, from 12 gt he's started, it's actually quite amusing to find that Richie Porte, apart all bashing he gets, has only 3 dnf from 14 gt he's entered :mask:

Except the last ascent of Èze he looked uneasy, hanging at the back of the peloton. Luckily no other heads of state went full gas. Still not too optimistic about Orcieres-Merlette in two days time. A max 30 second time loss there to the likes of Bernal and Roglic seems a godsend at the moment!

GFdJ is banged up, for a while it looked like Gaudu would DNF...yikes. Brave Thibaut: he hung on, didn't lose time. I hope he gets a quiet day tomorrow: the Orcières stage is just around the corner, he can't afford to lose time so early in the bike race.

Well, no one said that it would be easy .

How many as a dom? When the leader, Ritchie's record is 3 DNF and 4 finishes, two top-10, a 5 and a 7. Mehhhhhhh.
