It is now or never for Thibaut. The coming years belong to the next generation like Pogacar, Evenepoel and Bernal. Hoping for the best, expecting...yeah I don't know. It could be anything between podium and DNF after a bee sting or crashing because of sheep suddenly deciding to cross the road in front of him!
Now or never...Goran Ivanisevic winks at you.

That was such bad luck after surviving all those early crashes. Hell be fine tomorrow I reckon the stage wont be as crazy as people hope

Slight difference with gc team strategies though when you look for example IG and FDJ, with Ineos aggressively riding at the front as late as possible and keeping out of trouble quite well when crash came, almost.

Pinot needs all the help he can get to avoid his 7th dnf, from 12 gt he's started, it's actually quite amusing to find that Richie Porte, apart all bashing he gets, has only 3 dnf from 14 gt he's entered :mask:

Hopefully he isn't injured too badly. Looked like some road rash and bruises. I'm a bit more worried about how disappointed he looked than the actual injuries.

He was thinking about starting a new thread "2020 is the new 2015" I guess ;).

Yes, Tibo was ticked off.

Bonnet, Gaudu, and Molard also hit the deck. I hope that they are OK too.

I think I saw where one of the riders said over half the guys in the peloton hit the deck at least once today. Hope they are ok. I know at least 1 or 2 won't be starting tomorrow (Rafa Valls has a broken collarbone).

Well, he came down, but the rivalling teams took some hits, too.

(Please don't say I jinxed him. :()
But you know you did. The moment I saw your post in the stage thread, I knew Thibaut was hitting the tarmac.

The look on his face as he rode the final kilometres!

Except the last ascent of Èze he looked uneasy, hanging at the back of the peloton. Luckily no other heads of state went full gas. Still not too optimistic about Orcieres-Merlette in two days time. A max 30 second time loss there to the likes of Bernal and Roglic seems a godsend at the moment!

GFdJ is banged up, for a while it looked like Gaudu would DNF...yikes. Brave Thibaut: he hung on, didn't lose time. I hope he gets a quiet day tomorrow: the Orcières stage is just around the corner, he can't afford to lose time so early in the bike race.

Well, no one said that it would be easy .

How many as a dom? When the leader, Ritchie's record is 3 DNF and 4 finishes, two top-10, a 5 and a 7. Mehhhhhhh.
