Haha, you better be a parody of a Vino fan, else it sounds kinda pathetic.

Yeah, I doubt Dekker has that kind of money.

Thomas Dekker has requested to ride the Giro. Garmin agreed. He will ride the Giro in hope of gaining a Tour de France spot. He needs the Giro to get stronger and prove himself.

I don't think he will get a spot in the TDF. He can proof me wrong, but he's not ready for that yet. The Giro is a great start and next year he can look to perform in the big races.

Edit: The Giro is allready a big race btw. He just wants to be more in the spotlights.

No, it actually happened that way. He requested it himself, just like when he asked to ride Sarthe because he was sick before...

but i know how you think so I won't counter any more of your arguments about this ;)

You know how I think? Dekker always explains things in a way that make him look good, I thought you knew this by now. I'm sure if they told him he'd ride the Tour, he wouldn't have "requested" to do the Giro before...

Of course I don't believe it happened that way, either. If nothing else it would make little sense. The Giro is too hard for Dekker to serve as some kind of prep race for the Tour. He didn't exactly live like a pro during his suspension, unlike Valverde, Rebellin and Basso ..........and like Di Luca.

I guess the first two weeks would be doable but if he completes the Giro he'll be totally spent.
