I've just made the calculations and... Cummings has taken 50% of MTN/DD's wins at WT level.

Disgraceful riding by Cummings
Intellect actually
His team won't be at all popular in the peloton now. This kind of performance will have repercusions for them.

Foolish.
This is nonsense. Dimension Data rode a perfect race. Incredible effort by Cummings and Berhane.
Sky won't forget about this. Every DD break will be chased down hard from now on.

What on earth are you talking about.
Did you watch the stage?

A guy sitting on the back of a break, demonstrably saying that he isn't going to work with them, then attacking 3km later when they are on the limit, will not be popular in the peloton.

Well, this is a very common tactic when you have one of the best sprinters in the group behind.

Its the kind of tactic that Orica routinely get slated for on here.

That's how many races end though. No team would be "popular in the peloton" by now if what you say is true.

Well this is just what happens. I doubt anyone is really going to care.

Really, Cummings is such a fool that he tried to win the stage. Completely unacceptable

How dare Cummings sit up marking the move for his team leader, and then win the stage after being the strongest rider in the group at that point.

How foolish

Anyone that is complaining about Cummings win almost definitely never raced in a proper bike race.

Of course he is can sit on with Boasson Hagen in the peloton. When the three chasers had almost made the junction it was another situation, 6 guys in front with quite a big gap to the peloton. Perfectly executed by Dimension Data and Cummings. Nice ride by Berhane as well

I don't like Cummings's win either, but it was some good tactical riding and they did everything right to win the stage.

This. Double standards.
I understand the tactics and obviously make sense, but they certainly ain't my favourite tactics. Effective? Most certainly.

The other guys in his break definitely won't have liked it, but they'll understand. With one of the fastest guys left in the group, he was probably told not to work and once they realized the peloton wasn't coming back he was free to try his hand. With 3 riders coming across and having sat on, he realized his best bet was to go on the attack right then.

Cummings:
"I don’t know if that was ok but it seemed to work out"
:p
