Unless it's a case like Ventoux '16 where barriers would fly over the road, it's super lame to neutralise because of winds. More so in Paris - Nice today. It's no more windy than G-W was in 2015, so perfectly raceable (just don't sport deep-section rims).

He's in his car and went down a few kms. He's now 2 kms from the current finish line and says the situation is a better there. Mainly a headwind according to him.
