This is my favorite style of ITT course - Pan flat, with only one corner and hairpin, out and back which gets out the rider's full power - Also this type of course is less affected by the weather.
Bit of a weird thing to say after a race that was (mostly) decided by the weather.

I'm not sure how much Roglic trained on his TT before coming here. He wasn't supposed to race any before the Giro.

not much, probably, as it was reported to cause pain (going by this probably automated translation of another article)

I didn't watch the race. How was Landa's ride compared to the other favourites?
Landa was 13:43, I think. Fifteen seconds behind Mas at 13:28. Roglic at 13:17. Hindley and O'Connor were two or three seconds behind Roglic. Lutsenko around 13:20. Yates was further back than Landa. Brandon McNulty was 13:02. Magnus Sheffield was 12:59 ... he is looking more like an all-rounder with time. Almeida at 13:09 (8 seconds faster than Roglic). Ganna won it at 12:28. Is that a big enough lead to think about GC? Time will tell. Riders who started last had a wind/weather advantage.

It's not a weird thing to say - You have another type of course and the weather would have more affect on the results - And for me out and back flat courses with as few corners are the best ITT routes.

I think the climb of the race is too hard, but with almost +/- 1 minute on the favorite perhaps he's got a chance.

Ganna with a monster time today but I still think that a couple of the stage are too hard for him to win the overall.

Finally two UAE riders outside Pogačar doing a good ITT even if they were a bit lucky with the conditions.

Surprised to see Hindley and O'Connor this good too.

Sheffied's time was incredible too would have been a clear second if he had the same conditions as the last riders. Its a matter of time until he starts challenging for World Championships TT medals.

Winning whole race would be hard for Pippo but he can top-10 it. I consider this as success

So Landa was one of the last riders to start and he had an advantage with the weather, and he lost that much of time lol. He will never improve his itt

Well if Ganna does stay in the fight till the end, Ineos shall make of him the 2nd Indurain; that is someone who can crush the TTs and defend in the mountains.
He is in good climbing form this year, didn't lost much time on Malhao and got two 2nd places in GCs already
