An underrated reason why the Tirreno was better off with the TT being on the final rather than the first stage is that the GC riders all faced the same weather conditions. At least's a short and untechnical TT, which does something to limit the effect, but it's still not ideal.

Having the TT on the final stage is never better.

I'm not sure how much Roglic trained on his TT before coming here. He wasn't supposed to race any before the Giro.

Gotta wonder how Jumbo wanna play this out. Stage 4 should give a decent idea who their GC leader is, but then they might try to set it up for Van Aert as well.

This is my favorite style of ITT course - Pan flat, with only one corner and hairpin, out and back which gets out the rider's full power - Also this type of course is less affected by the weather.
