BMC will have to save Greg possibly closer to the finish and/or try to find some allies as I imagine Lampre will send Scarponi up the road early on the final climb and let cadel then chase him down and then maybe Cunego can counter.

It is going to be a good stage!

Greg has been amazing considering the negative side-effects putting a BMC jersey on has. Have they finally found Cadel a decent domestique?

Fleche Wallone? TBH he's one of the GC riders who fares better in the Ardennes and the minor Italian races. I'll give you Gilbert, Cunego and Di Luca, but in terms of GC riders he has more punch than many (Bert, A. Schleck, Menchov, Basso...).

Evans has decent "punch" but in FW it's all about timing and pacing in that final kick up to the line. It took Evans a few years to get both of them right. In Contador's defense this was, I believe, only the second time he's ridden FW, and only the first that he's ridden it seriously with hopes of a win/contention in mind. The same applies to Anton. They are both riders with more punch and acceleration than Evans. As we all recognize riders like Evans, Nibali and Basso are diesels that have to guage their efforts to avoid blowing when the real "punchers" like DiLuca, Valverde, Rodriguez, Anton, Contador and Scarponi put in one of their blistering accelerations.

By the way Contador did an interview with Sportweekend yesterday.

One of the things he said was the he had a bad aftertaste in his mouth after losing FW to Cuddles. But then he went on to say he attacked too late...

The rest of the interview was about his doping case and how he will take this to the highest of courts if UCI appeal.

He's skipping LBL(and AGR) because the Giro is too hard for him to combine with La Doyenne.

Considering how far Evan' s won by I don't think it would have made a difference. Contador's effort was dying when Evan's came past him. Evan's timed it perfectly that day. Contador obviously never likes getting beaten. He should ask Evan's how he feels about losing the TDF twice by less than a minute. As for today's stage I simply can't see Basso holding out Cunego.

I'm actually of the opinion that Bertie attacked too soon instead of too late.

I really don't think anyone let Scarponi "go" on stage 4. He was one of the favorites and he just ruled the field IMO. He kept a small lead over the entire climb, which looked damn hard.

Lampre has a really good hand, let's see how they play their cards today.

yeah that climb was perfect for scarponi, it isn't a coincidence he has won there two years running.

Rai Sport 2 should have live tv pictures in about 5-10 minutes, with Gazetto live about 10 minutes after that.
Eurosport not due live for another 50 minutes, but I wouldn't be surprised they improve that scheduling.
Updates appear way behind.

Slowest updates ever. 15 minutes ago it appeared that Grabsch ahd joined Bozic, and they are 4.15 ahead of the peloton at the 100km to go mark.

Is there anything I can do to make the Eurosport feed better?

I can watch all the other live feeds from other countries uninterrupted but the Eurosport one keeps stopping every 10 seconds or so and then starts again. (like it needs buffering or something)

I would love to watch it in a language I can understand.

Thanks

btw, Cadel looked a little emotional when taking the lead or does he just have blood shot eyes?

As always He puts too much pressure on himself...
