He looks more relieved than happy. Someone really needs to give the guy a lesson in victory salutes.

Holy crap, Ivan Basso really annoys me. He has been such a lame rider the last few years. Can't help despising him.

And please don't Zoncolan me now.

Also: props to Cadel.

Why because he dropped Cadel on the Zoncolan last year? :p

For not being his type of finishes, I'd say Basso's honored both the race and himself for being in 2nd place.

In the high mountains it will be another story however.

I don't think Evans gives a crap about what other people think. Except for his wife and dog (not a person, I know).

Sorry that I got a little excited but when your favourite team is the laughing stock of the forum and jokes are always made about them, you understand why I might get pretty excited!;)
Now now, that's Dim's excuse and he conducts himself like a gentleman.:D

How dare you call ACF not a person.

I'm not an Evans fan. But I don't dislike Cadel either. Basso, I dislike.
Also: Basso didn't finish in second, he came in fifth today.

Time trial tomorrow I expect Cancellara to win it. He seems to be saving him self for it as he looked good, but still dropped to the back while chatting with some dudes.

No way Cuddles will lose the overall in the TT unless Mister Roboto returns.

Congrats Evans !
Congrats BMC !
Congrats ACF !

A real man is silent and enjoys - like cuddles. Learn some sovereign power or this drama will never end. You only provocate more crap out of some people.

Now waiting for replay because I couldn't see anything because of useless things.

Where was that di Luca today ?
And Visconti 2nd @hitch. :D

Visconti looking as if that hurt.............a lot!

Not sure about what Cadel is about, though.
Maybe he's calculating his CQ points?:D

..........slow getting up the full classification..........

I actually have a headache from cheering and going crazy!

I got a kilo of Il Regina dei Caffé from Tazza d'Oro, Via degli Orfani 84, Roma today, and today's victory has been celebrated with four straight double-shots of espresso, to ensure that I won't get any sleep tonight so that I can savor this day to the max. Long live Cadel!!! Pure class today!

Awesome once again!

Class win by Evans. Fighting off all those attacks then hold back a little and then strikes and takes the win. Very impressive. Evans delivers BMCs first win of the year. I must say BMC with Ballan and Hincapie have been looking very good this Tirreno.
It has to be said when they do good as well :D We love to tell ACF when they fail, but this time good work.

The TT will be too long and too hilly for "Spartacus".

Apparently Löfkvist had a puncture in the final 10km and getting back into the main group cost him a lot of energy so he wasn't as fresh in the final climb as he would otherwise had been. We also saw that Cunego had a similar issue a little earlier and he was also less than his usual self so he probably also lost a little too much energy getting back to the front group.

I really expect Anton to crash out again.

Don't curse him! I'd prefer to think positive thoughts and hope that he makes it through the entire race to make the racing that much more interesting.
