I missed yesterday's stage, so that's a good thing.
Its certainly a handy looking breakaway!

Ignatiev is up 20 seconds, there's a breakaway group with some good riders (who'd be gearing up for MSR) and Liquigas pulling hard on the peleton to put pressure on the GC riders to try bump Nibali up the GC and maybe help out Bennati.

Apparently you did not hear me the first time: this is what happened YESTERDAY. They are re-playing it before they start coverage of today's stage. You are watching yesterday's finish.

From the webpage:

Check back Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. ET for the LIVE webcast of the final stage from Italy

That's in about 20mins, so whatever they are playing now may be a rebroadcast.

Indeed it was. Garzelli should have attacked scarponi on the flat when they had the gap with the others. Scarponi had nothing left.

Sporza is on, no live coverage yet.
Garzelli took back 1 second already.

i thought he might try something today, he won't go down with a fight (IMO he has been the best rider at T-A, strongest in the last two stages, and missed the right move on stage 4.

Exiting finish nevertheless - I didn't see it yesterday either.

Indeed. Anyone know what Scarponi was so annoyed about at the finish? He was with Garzelli, then they showed Ignatiev for a while, and when they cut back, Scarponi was suddenly a bit further behind Garzelli, overtaken by evans, and visibly upset about something?

That is exactly what I was wondering..........

Cervelo and Garmin leading the bunch at a decent pace, I am watching at work without sound so I have no idea where the break (supposing there is one) is and how far it is to the finish.

[edit] Oh, CN ticker is up, thanks Krebs.

Gruppo Compatto on the finishing circuits, 24km to go.

No break. Sprint coming up, if garzelli wins the sprint, he takes a 2 second lead (providing scarponi doesn't get 2nd, in which case it will be equal.)
