They know that's the only way.

Timmy-loves-Rabo said:I agree, though Sanchez if he rides could do well.
A. Schleck should do well here, but he seems to have his form peak at the critical times in the season and can go missing for the rest.
He doesn't stand a chance at winning. Too many top riders, and the course doesn't suit him. I'll put my money on a rider like maybe Freire or Visconti.markene2 said:Interview with Vino about Tirreno Adriatico. Aperently he wants to get a high overal place or win the race (I think he can)

markene2 said:Just becuse he tested positive in 07 dosent mean he sucks now. He came 5th at the overal standings in Tour de Meditarian this year. He devloped from a classic rider to a GT rider and he is still good at the classics. And his kamikaze attacks might end up with him gaining some time.
tgsgirl said:He also went backwards in the Vuelta and DNF'd the minute he realised that those mountains sure are steep when you can't cheat your way up.
markene2 said:Have you heard of somthing called form?
He was like the old Vino at the end of 09 Emillia and Lombardy
Well I'm not sure. Freire has shown great form in Challenge Mallorca and Vuelta a Andalucia, and the course looks a lot like the one he won in 2005. I think it's suited for either a hilly rider with a decent sprint, or a sprinter with talent in the hills.Timmy-loves-Rabo said:err i doubt it.
Friere?? I think the course might be a little too tough for him.
The course (IMO) is a little harder then some might believe.
I didn't say he sucked, I said the course didn't suit him, and that better riders are attending the race.markene2 said:Just becuse he tested positive in 07 dosent mean he sucks now. Nesker said:Freire for the overall win? That's absolutely ridiculous
for example, the final km's in the Chieti stage, that's not for Freire,

Colmurano with a wall of 800 m at a gradient of 15%

The difficult side of Macerata (before the final climb a little bump of 1,5k at 9,5%

etc......
Now, don't forget that he's been top 10 in Amstel gold race. It's not likely that he will win, but I wouldn't call say it's ridiculous to suggest so.Nesker said:Freire for the overall win? That's absolutely ridiculous
