Tom Danielson

^Exactly. Tom sure has been quiet after his initial defiant statements and responses to Tweets about how stupid everybody is except him regarding the matter. Haven't seen/heard anything out of JV for 6-8 months on any topic for that matter as well. Gone into hiding himself on these topics.

More BS.
If it's DHEA it's easy to prove. A CIR done properly can isolate DHEA from exogenous testosterone. Look at the LaShawn Merritt case. It was done there.

USADA: They're idiots on this topic.

Seems Danielson is going with a similar, didn't meant to dope excuse, but i stupidly did not check the supplement thoroughly, which is BS.

TD "After thoroughly investigating all possible avenues and countless tests, we have identified the likely cause of my positive test as a dietary supplement I have taken for many years without issue." EDIT: ...or the doping products that I was using that weren't supposed to show up on tests.

He doped as a collegiate mountain bike racer, he doped at Mercury, Saturn, (edit) Fasa, and Discovery, but we should believe that he wouldn't dope in 2015 ( you know, for health reasons)? Plus, he had actually slowed down when he went to Slipstream, but then sped up again in 2013-2015.

The sh*t side of this though is that there are many, many guys who doped more and profited more, and they are still going strong. That doesn't make me feel sorry for TD, but it is something to think about.

EDIT: At this point, why would JV have anything to say? Not bringing TD back for '16 says a lot.

JV has nothing to say. He said it when he declared that if anyone on his team tested positive he was done with the sport forever, but when Tom D was busted he stayed!

He's taking a page from Tom Zirbel's playbook. He'll play the DEAH card and roll on a few of his former teammates.

Ref. Merritt's case: his first CIR was an adverse analytical for testosterone or its precursors (same as Zirbel). A second CIR was positive for DHEA. He did consume DHEA. The question that USADA won't answer is (among many) did they also do a separate CIR for testosterone. It is possible to have both in you body.

He's also taking a page out of Contadopers book on the "I don't know how that got in my body, I are meat, the dog ate my homework" excuse.

I wonder did Vaughters pay out the rest of his contract....

He didn't have a contract for 2016 or are you talking about the rest of his salary for the 2015 season?

He got busted before ToC. So yeah the rest of the season, 2015.

four-year sanction — a reduced sanction, Danielson said in a statement, because USADA accepted that he had taken a contaminated supplement.

What a joke.

USADA says TD might not be telling the truth in his statement.

USADA’s statement makes no mention of unintentional ingestion or contamination, and when contacted by VeloNews USADA representative Ryan Madden disputed Danielson’s portrayal of the reduced ban.

“At no point during USADA’s investigation were we presented with scientific evidence suggesting that Mr. Danielson’s positive test resulted from a contaminated product,” Madden said in a statement Thursday afternoon.
