Could definitely see Poels doing a Pinot and throwing a massive tantrum as soon as things start going wrong for him
I really hope he can ride in rio. I'm sure he would have won considering how superb he was so far in the tour TT's. Now froome will win in rio too

Froome did very well in the TTs against Dumoulin considering Froome had Ventoux and Finhaut-Emosson before the two TTs while Dumoulin had rest days. It would have been very close between Froome and Dumoulin, and with the distance, I don't think you could count Tony Martin out either. But we've been robbed of that main battle now
Dumoulin has a broken radius, but it's a good fracture so there is still hope he can recover in time. He will only go to Rio if he has a chance to win though and he can't train right now. Otherwise he won't go.

He can continue training, and it sure as hell won't affect his legs. Slight chance it will affect his TT position, and hardly ideal preparation for his bid at olympic gold, but it's not the end of the world for Major Tom

Hard to imagine him being able to get of the saddle to climb - but he seemed to ride almost of all the mountain TT seated, so perhaps not a problem?
It's sad to see someone pay such a price for respecting the race. Was surely on the cards to abandon after winning the TT.....

It's the post-Tour rigged Crits, fixed outcome, zero risk. He'll just do his thing with no trouble.

Can't wait for him to brutalize the TT field in Rio. Thank God this mishap didn't end his season.
