Damn that's sad. He seemed to be getting into a very good shape...Season over due to an accident in training. Damn
Seconded.Ban cars!
I'm a little bit confused about his usage of the word "deception". Who's deceiving who?
In French, "déception" means disappointment.

He’s come through worse things physically and mentally than breaking a wrist in the past. I’m quite sure he’ll be just fine. Not a good thing for a guy who was just getting back after not liking cycling so much. I hope that he can mentally weather this.

I for one have no *** clue how fast this is for a bike rider with probably very little running experienceTom came second in a 10 kilometer run in Maastricht today. His time was 32:38.

It's a much better performance than Yates' sub-three hour marathon from last week, I would say.
Three hours is a realistic target for most male runners who train seriously. 32.5 on a 10 k isn't.
I dont know the course of Barcelona marathon but are there a lot of hills? Could affect the time somewhat compared to if Maastricht 10k was a flat course.
Best solution to settle this. Tom runs Barcelona marathon next year and A. Yates run Maastricht 10k.
I'd guess that on a shorter run the lack of running experience would be less of a problem, especially in regards to pacing.
