voeckler tour de france 2011 winner!
rolland the french ugrumov breathed two times on plateau de beillie and spitted a single time.
my only question is why the fucc voeckler didn't attack them?he would have dropped them easily these all cowards.

what a mental blow to the others would that have been....why didn't you attack them, tommy?

Massive performance from him today, again! Loving him more and more each day. I really hope he wins the Tour, or atleast finished in the top-3.

A couple of interviewers were asking Frank Schleck and Brad McGee if they were surprised at Voeckler's performance today. Not in the slightest.

Nope he wont win. If he is still strong in the mountains he will lose some time on the galiber and huez. but not enough to lose the yellow jersey. he will lose it in the TT. If the gc contenders go hard early in the mountains he will lose it there.

Apparently contador does not believe Tommy V can win
http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/9095/Tour-de-France-Contador-says-he-will-be-fully-recuperated-in-the-Alps.aspx

He also stated than when tommy V cracks he will explode hard and lose lots of time. I think i heard harmon or kelly saying that too. I hate to say it but if leopard, saxo or liquigas really set a hard tempo in the alps or there is a serious attack by andy or alberto we will have a new MJ.

Evans position on GC will kill off Voeckler's chances even though I admire what Voeckler has done so far. All of the GC riders have to put time into Evans before the TT so the attacks will be more prolonged next week which Voeckler admitted will probably be too much for him but he will keep fighting on. He is great to watch.

+1. But i have to admit I will be pretty worried if they go to the TT with evans being 2:06 down on voeckler. however he is expected to lose time in the alps.

He was expected to lose time in on Plateau de Beille as well but didnt. I read at least two previews/articles on Stage 14 that were along the lines of "Voeckler is the current MJ but won't be by the end of today". Not saying he will be up there all the way to Paris but he's definitely surprised a lot of people so far, himself included I'm sure. He even could have wheel sucked yesterday but was one of the more aggressive riders in the lead bunch. Impressive!

I don't see that happening but if it does should be an amazing time trial.

when they raced a little bit hard at the at the 1-2km mark on luz ardiden voeckler already dropped. so it was not surprising that voeckler didnt drop on the plateau as it was still quite a big group and they were all watching each other. he easily lost 20 seconds in luz ardiden. so if they start racing hard at about the 8km mark in the alps voeckler will lose massive time just like bertie said.

EDIT: Oops sorry misread your post. thought you meant you wont see voeckler dropping in the alps.

Does anyone know what kind of a massive gear he is churning in the mountains? It looks like he is he still in the big ring here.

It's stage 14 to Plateau de Beille and Vanendert is gone. Basso, just a couple of spaces ahead of him at the same spot, seems to be in the inner ring.

Love Voecklers efforts. What a man, rider. He has style, panache and a big heart. Wow. The french must love this man to bits. Congratulations to him, just amazing! I don't think he can win, but if he pulled off a top 10 - simply incredible!

cant appreciate any schmuck who attacks on the scene of the accident!

and he never would have been in yellow if that "i am the boss of the peleton" cancellara didnt force thor to slow - (he wasnt too happy about it), and leopard trek proceed to neutralize the race until it was beyond taking back.
did they think they were that great in the mountains to be able to do anything?

with the p!ssy green team setting a defensive pace all the way, (lets breaks go miles away, dropped riders rejoin) trying to leave it until the end isnt going to do it either.
