Why so pessemistic?

I listen his injuries, impossible to recover in two weeks, a month at least and we will see then. I mean it's a hot feature of this Tour if Tony Martin gives a go.

time will tell but I think he'll make it back in time, perhaps the accident will have steeled him and he'll come back more determined/focused.

Well, I wish him all the best, I do kind of like Martin, but I don't have your faith. I think the best he can hope for now is being a contender for the TTs in the Tour and then being 100% at the Olympics. I honestly don't think there's anything in the Tour GC for him this year.

At this point of time, Ullrich was still relaxing on his couch, eating a couple of choko cakes a day:D

"I am really happy to be able to get back on my bicycle on the road," Martin said. "I pedalled for 30 minutes yesterday on a bike path near home and today I went out again riding my bike for about an hour. Obviously, these aren't training sessions, but just some pedalling to get used to the bicycle and the road again. I am trying to listen to my body and I'm pedalling without taking any type of risk. It's a very pleasant feeling, especially thinking about the fact that a week ago I was lying in a hospital bed."

So all those comments 'No Tour for him, ' four weeks break' were as predicted bit over the top ;)

Yeah good to see him back up so quickly.

There is something slightly of The 'Burbs about that picture.

Tony man of steel:D

The haters had already celebrated their parties cuase they thought Tony would be out of the Tour.
Now he is back on May 1. That's fantastic:D:D

What the hell?!

No cycling fan, certainly not one that's ever ridden a bike, would ever want a rider to be sidelined because of a car crash.

I would call most of Tony Martin's "haters" more "doubters".

I genuinely think that unless he's taken a lot away from his TTing, he isn't going to have a chance in the high mountains. If he's going to start trying to lose weight to climb better, I really doubt it would be during an Olympic year.
