what about Eneco tour? I hope he will be there.

Perhaps, but allow me to put forward an alternative theory: he couldn't.Bavarianrider said:At least he could have done a lot better.

Hello, I'm not D_T?Cobblestoned said:I know Dicker_Tifuzzi keeps bitterly running on through all threads and bashing all possible riders, to compensate his own and the big Rabo- and Gesink-fail.
Thats also a way to satisfy yourself.
"Tony Martin Bandwagon thread" is perfect refuge for such guys who need satisfaction.
It's like a dry and warm place under the bridge of a big Autobahn.
The bandwagons keep on patroling ON the Autobahn. Sometimes they stop, so that the supporters can pee under the bridge.
What is your favorite rider or team ?

Parrulo said:why the sad face? after this years tour do you actually believe he has any chance? lol
Dekker_Tifosi said:I think it's Tony himself who is convinced he can't do a good GC after he tried and failed this year.
If 'haters' (as you call anyone who doesn't believe Martin is a GC contender) had that kind of influence then Lance Armstrong never would have won 7 tours.
By the way, why do you think people are haters when they don't believe in Martins GC chances? Even if they think he is TT monster and very good 1-week stage-race rider?
You classify everyone who says "Martin can't climb" as hater. Even if they are not.
You are so incredibly shortsighted it's unbelievable.
Parrulo said:is a tour spent on cheering for some1 who will disappoint as soon as the stage goes up a bit any better?
btw the train excuse doesn't really fly.
19. VELITS Peter 179 HTC - HIGHROAD 86h 41' 16" + 28' 54"
44. MARTIN Tony 175 HTC - HIGHROAD 87h 43' 18" + 1h 30' 56"

LaFleur said:Well Martin spent a few last days in the grupetto to prepare for the time trial so this example doesn't really fly either.. (not that I'm a fan of Martin's climbing, hell no.)

Parrulo said:wasn't velits also a part of the HTC train?
i remember seeing him pulling a lot of times(everytime HTC formed their train so every flat stage) just ahead of martin in terms of train placing . . .
btw ofc martin did more work then velits after failing miserably on the tourmalet stage even tho he had no bad luck affecting him unlike velits. thats the price that comes with failing miserably.
