The only upside I see with this route is how Bruyneel is gonna win this with Schleck?
BTW: what's the deal with flat stages in 1st week averaging over 200 km, and then having "decisive" mountain stages at 140 km?!

Yep will be off to the Giro.

Contador may not be that worried but he come back to the field

Evans will be happy as DFC

Wiggo is still on the floor laughing.

Froome started training

but the reaction I´m waiting for is from Libertine Seguros should be a funny post or 2 me thinks :p

Actually with this route it's going to be incredibly easy for Sky if they have both Cav and Wiggins.

exactly

probably andy and frank will go to giro.it will be a horrible mistake to do this tour,no freaking chance here

menchov is licking his lips right now.

I hope there's a hilly time trial at least. Otherwise not even Contador might be able to win this piece of crap.

I'm starting to like the Giro again now :)

Tony Martin Tour de France...

2 long ITT's a prologue and ONLY 4 MOUNTAIN STAGES

djezus, what a terrible parcours, i love the cities they will visit but a very lame parcours...

the only positive side is that i might have a chance to go and see the TDF at various points depending on my holidays :D

the flat stages won't be any interesting at all, with Cavendish (if he has a team next year) winning every one of them...

I get a confirmation why i like the Giro more and more every year

The second one will be flat. The first one will be hilly, but it can't be too diccicult too.

Seems like the tour organizers have given up the idea of Andy Schleck winning so they decided they wanted Froome, Wiggins or Evans to win instead. Will be quite tough for Sky though, given that they'll probably have to ride on the front 24/7 the first 9 days for Cavendish and when Froome gets yellow on stage 10 or so they'll have to ride on front all day in the mountains as well! (this assuming Contador isn't there)

belle filles is 5.5 at 9.5%.
stage 10 features grand colombiere. 16 at 7.8% with 19 maximum. wasn't this, with mont du chat, the most demanded climb on this forum?

Just checked the area around the first TT.
Seems like it won't be that hilly. Both towns are ca 35 km apart. So if the TT is 38km they pretty much have to go straight. There are hardly any hills on the straight line. So there's almost no room to include the hills of the area.

I'm just going to put it this way- A very good "rouleur" has an unique opportunity so succeed in the next year's tour- just get in an early break away to gain 10 minutes at the end of the day & try to keep the MJ as long as possible. Even Cancellara comes to mind "IF" he gets "fitted" to take the task. BTW- if berto is cleared, he might have issues with this type of parcours-and let alone Andy, whose chances of winning the Tour have just plummeted....

The picture where it shows if its a flat hilly or mountain stage is a bit deceptive since all hilly stages are shown as flat or stages with only 1 mountain also are 'flat', wait for all the details and I think it will be an ok route.

I hope Froome rides just In case Wiggo blows and also Pate will ride for Sky I'd imagine..

Anyway Libertine should be put on suicide watch if this course is correct..

Blow up where? I'm sure Libertine Seguros won't go THAT FAR in boycotting this event.

I think the paucity of both mountain top finishes and long days in the mountains will force the Schlecks, if they have any ambition to win, to go on the attack at both those few "traditional" opportunities, and also when their rivals least expect it. It will also force them to be serious about their TT training. By making it less favourable, it could make them less complacent and force them to be more focussed and aggressive.
