Think it was one of the streams on youtube that kept showing old footage from before or something. Found another channel showing it where it actually looks like they are going upwards.

Get the impression Bernal has been playing this smart not getting involved in the attacks riding a steady tempo, marathon climb.

Another one peaking way too early.
🤣
Not really! He's not even in the leaders jersey and only gained 13 seconds to some random pro team rider. This route is also great for him. In form, Carapaz would win this by 2 minutes

What? did you see him pushing? are the others bad? I don't understand what you mean by 2 minutes?

Clearly, he was on the limit today, I am well aware of that. However, he wasn't at his peak or in top form. The riders in 2nd and 3rd are not the kind of riders who would usually be challenging him. Had he been in top form he would have won by 2 minutes. I'm sure he will be happy with this but it's certainly not a sign that he is peaking too early as he is the best climber in the field by a distance

Cadena, Del Toro and now Muñíz. Is Mexico finally waking up to become the force it has the potential to be in the sport? They have the climbs, they have the altitude, they have the facilities, they just only periodically contribute a Raúl Alcalá or a Julio Alberto Pérez Cuapio.

I have had about a dozen attempts to do Race Design Thread routes in Mexico and always have far too much that I want to include. I love a lot of things about Mexico.
