I want to see an on form Contador vs an on form Cadel Evans next year.

Conta wins that easy.
Not trying to take anyhting away from cuddles, but there is no one who comes close to a peaking conta

There goes the fanboys argument that he must be clean :p
Except, you know, his form peak, well, it wasn't, how do I put this, supposed, in a way, to be, put bluntly, during the Dauphinée.

If conta avoids the giro he will break LA's record.

Please. Please please ban the colour co-ordinated leaders jersey and Knicks. They look absolutely stupid. Either team Knicks or black.

I don't. Hopefully he gets a little more dedicated to his craft. He's got the talent, just doesn't seem to have it upstairs.

I hope this Tour will be a lesson for Andy. He lost the Tour in the Pyrenees and he almost won it in the one stage where he gave it a real go.
Agree with these. I'd like to see more a more hungry and mature approach from Andy. And I'd really like to see Frank come to France as the team's top mountain domestique and not a pseudo co-leader. If Andy would just drop Frank when he isn't strong and thus clearly define their roles I think he'd be far better off.

Fantastic race by Evans. I knew he could win after the strength he showed over the past few days. Very deserved. Good to see TV hang on as well for fourth place.

He is a champ. Great ride this tour all things considered.
He has 2 giros, so I am content there.

Who ever thought the GT Evans wins would be genuinely entertaining?

I think most people dreaded the idea because they expected it would be a dull affair.

Of course it's not all down to Evans, but he played a key role.

Evans:

"I've had some bad moments in the last ten years, but that makes the good moments better. [...] In past years, 2007, Contador had a really good day; I had an average day [...] 2008, I was on my limit [...] That was the hardest Tour I ever rode in my life. [...] The plan today was [...] do the best you can. [...] I haven't had time to reflect on [the victory], but we'll see."

Interviewer: "Riding into Paris tomorrow you'll have the yellow jersey on your shoulders. How will that feel?"

Evans: "I hope the sun's out."

Chapeau, Evans.
