Interesting. So is it possible he broke his shoulder blade, because his collarbone was 'fortified', which might have transfered the impact of the crash to another bone?

Does anyone know what the rehabilitation period for such any injury is?

Depends on plate or not

ie how bad is the break - but 2011 might be done -

I think Gesink will be in much better form after the rest day.

All of the sudden he was at the front of the peloton while Hushovd is suffering at the end.

totally random thought..as i see what I think is AC going no hands under the banner, I wish I could ride that long without hands on my bars, I go crooked when I do that.

Roelandts has his best kms behind him now. Massive respect to the guy, but someone else is going to have to bring the break back,

I expect a Katusha rider will be headed home if indeed he shouldered Contador.

If versus ever mentions the actual incident they will mention it one time and one time only. I doubt they will though. Can't destroy the story. They assume their audience has an avg IQ of 14 and this might confuse them.

Does look pretty bad. How'd you find that link?

Rider should be disqualified if he did that purposely.

Twitter. @velocentric found it from someone else.

Klöden said that Popowich(sp?) started the race t oday with a small fever. The Schack really having a bad tour, also klöden reported as having hit the tarmack in the big crash, but seemingly ok (?)

Hushovd gave Gesink his legs back? They sure rode like each other the previous days.

Nah with all the crashes, now Gesink went from being hurt to being one of the more healthier riders in the peleton )

Kelly's grammar and pronunciation always make me laugh, pronouncing the "T" in Gilbert! Brilliant

for a man whose education finished at the age of 14 he's not doing bad for himself.

it is not about the audience avg IQ, with Versus what you must understand is the commentators' IQ is on part with a "juvenile/senile" category of their own

His 'net searching skills are more interesting than anything else since the big crash.
