Fair enough, except for the use of the word "pretending". Cut that off.

I'm with Hrotha. Nothing shocking there. Karpetz swirved.. maybe a pothole?

Intentional is a very long call.

This is going to be close for Chouchou's yellow, another consequence of the idiot driver taking out two of the break's motors. Although Sanchez and Casar are probably good for the stage 1-2

Hoogerland should be allowed to finish and get his mountains classification jersey regardless of time cuts. I hope he finishes. Those cuts look pretty bad, so I doubt he starts Tuesday.

and be given the most aggressive rider award

He must have pretty deep wounds from the barbed wire :(

did it have to be barbed wire of all things? i'm even more worried about the fact that he hit the wood post really hard. just horrible and so unnecessary.

It has to be. He doesn't turn his wheel and he's not impacted by a rider coming over from his right. He shoulders AC and continues on his line.

Now if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was practicing avoid some non-existent obstacle, be my guest, but it seems quite clear that the rider made an intentional and unnecessary move that resulted in Alberto Contador crashing.

Look again. He looks over then gives the shoulder/hip shove. Maybe they had been fighting for a wheel or something... but that looked intentional.

Should be the directors car, team/s cars of the break away, a medical car, ONE OFFICAL media car and THATS IT!

Car of French tv.

As for Voeckler not wanting to win it, I don't want to see someone win who gets it because everyone else crashed(peloton crashed and Hoogie and Flecha now). That has nothing to do with him being French.

Voeckler did very well not to crash as Flecha went full force into Voeckler on his way down. He clearly had a heart stopping moment and you can see how well he does to stay on 2 wheels.

Ironically the last incident I remember involving similar crash proof abilities was Flecha himself in TDS 2010 where he magically missed that massive pileup where everyone around him ended up on the floor.

Flecha caught and makes his clear his feelings about tv cars in the process.
Now joins Johnny on the lonely solo ride.
The peloton get the collective pussies jersey for today's effort.

no one behind him was swerving to miss anything. It was pretty blatant, imo.

As for Garmin-Cervelo taking responsibility for chasing the break.

"16:45:49 CEST
We would say off hand that Omega Pharma-Lotto has pulled the peloton along for the last hunded km or so."

Bob tRoll will defend him. AC shouldn't be making them all so nervous. b!tch had it comin'

It's a bit of a disgrace isn't it? If you didn't know Bob Roll was a professional cyclist you'd swear he was just an uninformed d-bag.

Peloton suck for letting this group stay away. Garmin fail.
Difficult to control with so many riders behind, only so called GC riders + Thor. No Lithuanian turbo or Dave Z.

But yes, they failed today.
