Trying to work out what the stage to Le Grand Bornand will be. A bit hard to repeat the Romme/Colombiere of 2009. Plus they will probably avoid the Annecy area with the stage there the following day.

Galibier - Iseran - Roselend - Saisies - Aravis would be the most likely option, I suppose.

I thought they would definitely do Galibier but it seems too long (for Amaury) in most configurations.

Galibier-Madeleine-Tamie-Croix Fry would be around 230km.

Hmm, i wish they would have done the MTT on a Ventoux.

This is ok, though. Nothing to get excited about, but it's a decent MTT

So Huez is 2x up the normal way, 26km flat/descent between (bout 50/50). No real climbs before and around 180km in length.

So which one is the queen stage?

It would mean only one flat TT with a length of around 35km. Pretty pathetic for the 100th edition.

Silly me... the 2004 stage with the famous Armstrong / Kloden sprint finish. It will probably be a carbon copy of that crappy stage design

It's going to be a breakaway stage this time around, though.

Its not so much the number, its more the ones that have been selected and the way those stages are likely to be constructed.

That's an ideal length for the TTT. Anything more is unfair.

There is a MTT, ITT and TTT. Well balanced.

Overly long ITTs will only provide entertainment to fans of bore fests like you and your countryman FoxyBrown.

It will not provide exciting racing.

Its not so much the number, its more the ones that have been selected and the way those stages are likely to be constructed.

The stages will be poor as usual. But because of the extra high mountain stages we should see some exciting racing, and the winner will be not a foregone conclusion after the first TT( In this case prob the TTT)

But the winner is an Individual.

He shouldn't be punished because his team isn't a mega rich team with all the best Time Triallers.

Racing has changed from the 80s-90s.

If you have 100+ TT KMs specially in the Tour where Mountain stages are usually poorly designed and are less compared to other tours, the winner will be a forgone conclusion.

You must also realize that the Mountain stages are much much shorter than it was in the 80s and 90s.

But if his team has no climbers at all to support him in the mountains, he should?
TTT is not a thing of individuasl TT abilty in the first place. It's an art that can be trained.
