The rumours for first ITT are for a loop south from Avranches to pass the locality of the Tour's voice, Daniel Mangeas. Or something. Makes it a stage of 55km approx. Second stage is indeed rumoured to be shorter but up and down. Of 30km I guess.

yes I was just trying to confirm him. it could well be a st etienne type of itt that maybe 30 km or some more but take 50 minutes

Anybody knows something about the procedure of making a TDF route? Preudhomme (or Pescheux) actually takes a car and travel the 100% of the route to check the quality of the road, the towns etc? Or are they makin it by phone/mail/bikeroutetoaster or something?

Stage 14 is rumoured to be Saint Pourcain-sur-Sioule to Lyon. By road S PsS is 337km from Paris

But Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule is located, as the crow flies, at exactly 292km from Paris!

Personally I'm getting a bit worried about the final two stages though, can't see them turning out well... although maybe that is a good thing given there should be 4 proper mountain stages already to that point.

Overall I think it's a very promising route, the best in years. Hopefully all the info is true and no bad surprises on Wednesday.
