As has been stated numerous times, Froome must implode completely today in order to Quintana to win the Tour. It just won't happen.

Whether Froome can win on Alpe remains to been seen, but the Tour is in the bag and polka dots will likely follow.

Nibali will go from the botton of the Alpe me thinks. Alberto to try earlier on as well but fail. Quintana will put in one of his 10 second attacks and then sit up, finishing with Froome.

Who do you think can win this stage if not a GC rider takes it? Kangert or Anacona maybe?

Can someone please answer me? I want to bet on some jokers and dark horses today!

There will be no win for an eventual break today. The heads of state will fight it out.

I know there are a very big chance of that. But because EVERYONE means that the GC guys will take the stage, there are very good odds on Kangert etc. Maybe Ruben Plaza can win?
No, really, no. Bardet is the only "outsider" I can think of and he's not even really an outsider.

Ok. What about Alex Geniez, Cyril Gautier or Jarlinson Pantano for a top 10 spot on the stage?

To win Nairo needs to distance Froome on the Croix de Fer and have support in front. I can't see that happening. More likely, Stoneface attacks from the bottom of the Alpe.
1. Nairo, 2. The Shark, 3. Dawg

GC: 1. Dawg, 2. Nairo, 3. The Shark (hopefully)

MP: Dawg
I agree with what Quintana has to do, but he might just find enough support *IF* he mans up and attacks at the CdF. Hi best case scenario is to launch Valverde halfway up the CdF, hopefuly dragging Nibali with him. Even if the move doesn't stick, it's his best chance to get rid of the skybots early. If it works, he has to go himself about 3K from de CdF summit.

If he waits for the AdH, we'll have a nice enough stage but no real threat for Froome.

No, no and no. Unless you get amazing odds (say 20:1).

Listening to Froome yesterday, he definitely has a cold. Quintana to take this convincingly.
Interesting. IF this is the case, quintana should go all in and just go hard from the CdF on. AdH will not be enough and thats that, although a stage win is of course worthwhile, etc.

Then again froome destroying everyone but nairo with this possible cold provides a reality check.

As someone who bets for couple of years, please dont make bets on this stage if you dont have some special info, its a last mountain stage and everyone will go 100%, people can blow up or ride miracoulously good, keep your powder (moeny) dry for tomoroz. :)

Wrong subforum. Just naively hoping for a nailbiter ending here.
