Of course ha can and Valverde showed at the top of that climb that he is vulnerable and that attack for Quintana took a lot out of him.

Yeah but Valverde isn't one of the big four? Big 4 = the 4 big favorites before the race, that isn't something that just changes during the race.

I wouldn't say so. I'd say we got a big 5 this year.

In this tour yes there's a big 4, but Contador rode a Giro, none of the others did, so when it comes to talent and ability I believe he's still very much part of the, now, big 5.

To clarify, I was making the point that in the last 3-4 pages people kept saying "the big four are all together", but it was actually 3 + Valverde.

All this is proving is how difficult it is to compete in both the Giro and the Tour. Only Pantani has won both in living memory and of course he was rocket fueled.
