What a failure Degenkolb has been this Tour. Kittel not there and he fails to win a stage anyway. Sagan seems to better at everything as a bike rider, yet Degenkolb has 2 monuments to Sagan's 0.

No. Sagan is better at high-speed sprints in big groups. Degenkolb is better in sprints when the field is smaller and the speed slower. Sagan is better on bergs, Degenkolb is better on the cobbles.

Madness...

Insane. Crazy guy. It could have been a terrorist with a bomb. Thank god they weren't at full speed. He could have been killed and the riders could have been really bad injured. What was written on his shirt?

Are you guys sure that isn't just the top of a statue ?

Looks like an angel on top of a tower to me.

It's a real person. The moto at the back of the peloton filmed him for half a second.

Kirby didn't notice.

It's pretty simple re Degenkolb.

Stage wins for sprinters who peaked for the Tour: 5
Stage wins for sprinters who peaked for the spring: 0

Nonsense.

Apart from being true, how is it nonsense?

Green Jersey should be interesting if next year has more sprint stages.
People were saying it would be interesting this year as well, but Sagan one by miles

In the end it's around 60 points with a route like 2012 and someone like Cav, Greipel or Kittel collecting a lot of stages I can't see Sagan winning.
Greipel won 4 stages, that would never happen with Kittel and a younger Cav in the mix.

Well.., Greipel is 3yrs older than Cav, what's your point exactly?

I meant to say Cav on form, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Implying that the reason Degenkolb didn't win any stages is because he peaked for the spring. He wasn't horrible at the Tour, he's just not Kittel. He's never going to win Tour stages against the top guys in July. Now, the Vuelta against 2nd tier sprinters is a different story. Besides Greipel did a different program this year and planned a spring peak as well during the spring classics and also did some of the Giro, so it's not as if his whole year was planned around the Tour.

Noticed him too. Thought my eyes were deceiving me, or he was behind a barrier, or... something!
