One question, do you get disqualified when you are lapped?
And if yes, what would happen if a break of 5 riders are one lap faster than everyone else? Would the highest in gc of these 5 men win the tour? :D :D :D

2K until Froome makes history.
History for winning the french race?

Only the seventh rider to win yellow and polka dot.
That isn't history then.

That's like saying winning the Giro-Tour double isn't history either as AC would have been the 8th rider to do so
Indeed, that wouldn't have been "making history". Making history is if you do something that's never been done before (in my opinion).

Yeah. Or that AC hasn't made history by winning all 3 GT's because he was the 5th rider to do so.

Lol no. Just can't stand how everything Froome does is holy in the eyes of the British Sky fanboys.

"Making history" is often used to describe a rare accomplishment. You're welcome.
If the obelisk is returned that would be history :D
The asterisks? Or are we not talking about cycling?

Let's spin it and find some history: he's the first anglophone rider to win both the overall and mountains classifications in the same Tour.

Margaret Thatcher made history when she became the first female British prime minister.
There ya go.

So no racing yet...I think the women were riding faster and more aggressively.

And pretty much all of them crashed - at least the men seemed to have learnt from that

You had forgotten about Nibali, hadn't you? That's ok. So did everyone until the Croix de Fer.

Indeed, but then you can wonder how relevant that is :p

People rightfully respected him for a big achievement. One that no rider in the current peloton has achiebed.

You are capable of some great and knowledgable posts, it is a pity that those standards dont get met as often when Alberto doesnt win.

Uhm no. Nibali was the 6th rider to win all 3 GT's. AC was the 5th.

True, but it was more exciting...
