Katusha being brilliant.
I don't think I even saw Kristoff up there at the end.
A late attack from Martin would have to be a better chance than Kristoff even coming close to winning a sprint at this point. Embarrassing tour from Lotto and Katusha so far really, what's the point when d grade sprinters like EBH and Groenewegen are better than their guys?

What's wrong with Bouhanni? I mean, for sure he's not as fast as Kittel. But he completely lacks speed, explosivity and aggressiveness.

he doesnt lack aggressiveness, he just misdirects it

Fair play to Kittel - his domination is very impressive.

But this route, and the passivity of the other teams...
And the lack of the other real sprinters...

To be fair, the only other than Cav who could probably compete with him is under contract with the same team at the moment.
Demare was on great form and could compete with Kittel.

Yeah, imo it's doubtful that Cavendish could really challenge Kittel in this form - let alone Demare or Sagan. But still, the competition without those three is so thin now that Greipel and Kristoff seem to have massively regressed.
We can have no idea if it's Kittel going well because of the crap field. It's almost Vuelta level. Cavendish probably wouldn't have been able to beat him because he has been affected by mono all year, but otherwise he'd have won one at least. Kittel has almost been beaten by EBH.

the final sprint may have been easy for Kittel, but that stage was anything but boring
Bodnar entertained us there for an hour or so
Seriously? Surely no one thought he would genuinely stay away for the win? The peloton had him under control the whole time.

they caught him with 150m to go, that wasnt part of the plan

Seriously, what the **** was Edvald Boasson Hagen doing at the finish line. He looks straight at Kittel flying by and proceeds to race his fist in the air victoriously.

Well he won the sprint!

Kittel doesn't count so EBH was the winner.

No doubt his best opposition has gone home but the bunch left that one a bit late. 300 metres.

It really didn't look like a victory salute to me, looked like a rider who put everything into it and was frustrated once he spotted Kittel flying past him which is why the arm went up then hit the bars

He was clearly the best sprinter when Cavendish, Sagan and Demare was in the race as well. And he's dominating without a proper leadout, while spending ridiculous time in the wind.
