AG2R has 3 riders. They could've at least made some pace to make Sky work to get back.

1 rider and Bardet.
Gautier is dead and useless and Bardet probably would prefer to keep his one helper than make Sky work back up and lose his last dom.

For what exactly?

Perhaps to help him if anything happens to him.
Perhaps to launch him on the descent.

Regarding waiting for own mistakes I can remember Armstrong waiting for Ullrich after Peyresourde crash but that was when LA had 4-minute advantage already so it barely mattered.

It was a wasted opportunity to make Froome and Sky work

So will Froome take the win, or will he let Landa have the glory today?

Probably depends if Landa signed with Sky or Movistar

Froome will win the TT so thats his stage covered

I'd like Landa to attack to see the hell it gets.

I recall during last year's Tour (I think) when Henao attacked out of the Froome group. Like Sky was just so bored that they started attacking themselves.
