Very well played by Aru so far btw., with little team support.

His team brought him to the front when he needed them to but it would be handy if a couple could of stuck with him

He also closed a gap himself when the echelons first formed.

Yep. Out of the saddle, into the wind, gap closed. That certainly looked strong!

It is just a question of whether or not the GC riders consider this enough leeway. I don't think he's a GC threat, even in a breakaway, as long as it is controlled.
