Seriously, Contador simply wants to make Froome lose this Tour doesn't he!? Lovely! :D
Uh, no. How would he make Froome lose the Tour?
Like LeBlanc made Ullrich lose the Tour back in 1998 maybe.

And all the Spanish riders made Robert MIllar lose the Vuelta.
Obviously this is different, but Contador is tiring down Sky paving the way for attacks on the Galibier.

This is going to be tight battle for the stage victory.
And I mean, the GC contenders won't be rolling like this all the way. Even they are still in contention for the stage.

Haha, cycling fans never forget do they, I know people who've hardly watched cycling that are bitter about that

Sky look in complete control here unfortnately, probably will still have Kiryienka for most of the Telegraphe, then Kwiatkowski setting pace until half way up Galibier. I don't think we'll see any serious GC attacks until quite near the top of the Galibier;

what a waste of Gogl

Absolutely. Dont get the idea behind it, would have been of way more help in the flat.
Yeah, the only possible explanation is if he was already struggling to hang onto the front group, but that seems a bit unlikely, because he took a fairly long pull. Surely would have been better to send Pantano back first.

Could we see AG2R and Trek possibly being allies in the valley? No point for AG2R if Bardet's helpers get caught

I think Gogl simply wasn't strong enough to stay in the group for the whole climb and therefore decided to drop back and help Contador as long as he is able to do so. Before he dropped back he already seemed to struggle to stay in the group. Anyway, it's just really sad that Quintana is so weak. He would have been crucial for that break to survive.

How many FDJ riders are left in the race?
