Is Bora seriously riding for Buchmanns 15the place?

Think it's rather because they don't have a rider up front and have to do something to not look silly. At least I hope so.

This looks more silly than just not being there.

Heard that too. Sad. No shock coming from Talansky though. Pretty much how all the American riders are save for the the unspoken one.

A time-honored Vaughters strategy

Looks like Froomedawg will join this illustrious list unless he wins the TT later in the week, with the break at 8 minutes.

Well in theory he could also win the TT on stage 20. Dumoulin isn't riding the tour, Tony Martin's shape doesn't look very strong, and Thomas has crashed out. I wouldn't say Froome is the favorite but I think he has a chance.

The flat stage before hand instead of often it being a mountain stage will help the GC guys get a bit of recovery before the TT so they can match the specilaists aswell. Plus actually the 1.2km steep climb helps guys like Froome hugely. He would for sure be one of the favourites.

They are looking pretty silly right now

I don't know why people would complain about Bora. It's adding to the excitement not detracting, it keeps the speed up in the front and behind and makes sure everyone is racing. It's good.

Roglic vs Froome imo, and with the flat stage the day before giving Froome a bit of rest, Froome will have a decent chance

I really really really don't understand why people don't want racing and would be happy to let Sky trundle along the valley. But ok.

To clarify, they are not even riding for Buchmans GC place which some people think they are.

Have you any idea how commercially important a 15th place is, instead of, let's say, a 17th spot?
Soon it'll be Buchmann showering or cooking ('I laav this cooking revolution') in Eurosport ads.

Interesting that this list only contains some of the lesser TDF winners (and yes, I saw Greg LeMond! He is one of them, IMO). I wouldn't mind seeing Froome in there.

You saw LeMond on the list, but I guess you never saw him ride.

Not good for the race. But I don't blame him. He has never been in this situation and is his contract year.

I am sure we all would go for the win if we were in his shoes!

To be fair I dont really like the breakaway taking the last mountain/queen stage anyways, barring of course frank schlecks glorious random win on Ermita de Alba a couple of years ago

To be fair he does have a mathematical chance of winning the race if he ST with Froome today.

Too many descent finishes have been detrimental to the racing so far. Too many stages where the riders are scared to dig too deep when there's still 20km to go.

yes I agree. The sport has become boring as all the action now is down to the last 2-3kms of racing, even on summit finishes. I asked this question in another post and got some good answers. I don't even bother watching until the final km's now anyways on account of this.

we want to see brice feillu in yellow ;) no serioulsy, it's just annoying when they don't have a single chance to win the stage anyway, and are riding for a fifteenth place, when they rather just could send some riders up the road and go for the stage tomorrow where they have a chance.

Lemond is in my top 5 GC riders since WW2.
I don't like speaking hypothetically, but without the accident he would have won 5 Tours, imo.
