Well that was pathetic from Bardet and Uran.

No wonder those guys never win anything.

Bardet simply didn't have a chance against Froome.
Not if he just waits until the final few kms every time. He's had several great opportunities to go for the win this race, at just a small risk to a possible podium place, and he's bottled it every time.

Very disappointing.

Peloton full of losers and team restrains.

Why can't we develop a time machine and land a 27 yo Contador on board? :(

So, Uran didn't do one single attack but wins a stage and probably ends as a runner up in freaking Tour. Amazing.

And it's an absolutely brilliant result for him.

True. But when will he ever have a better chance to win the Tour? Worth risking the possibility of finishing second instead of third.

For any actions he could have taken but didn't, write down how much it would have increased the chance of winning the Tour and decreased the chance of being on the podium

It clearly depends on what those numbers actually are.

Well. Froome is simply better than Bardet and Uran. They were dead. Hard to criticize them when you are completely wasted.

Again they lost the only opportunity in stage 15.

Sky too strong, Froome too strong...can't fault Bardet and Uran. Don't worry 8 man teams next year should change things....oh wait

I mean, Uran. He's the biggest wheelsucker i have ever seen.
The way he bridged that gap to Froome with relative ease today, just as he did the same on Mont Chat; but didn't think once about attacking himself all race. For such a talented rider, his poor palmares really does reflects his shocking tactics.

For all the critics of Bardet and Uran, I think they (Bardet in particular) were simply not strong enough to shake offf Froome. Bardet tried several attacks all tour and he simply could not shake him off. Froome just too strong. Not a good spectacle.

Exactly, nothing more to add. Uran could have tried at least though...

That's why he had to maximize all the slimest ambush opportunities on this crap route. He had a big one and blew it.

Maybe Uran would attack if he is not riding for Cannondale; maybe Cannondale just needs some result finally.

Barguil got his 2nd stage win & the KOM secured ----- WOW I always loved Warren's style, and now he's showing off gracefully

Kudos to Bardet for trying. Rigo too conservative, perhaps thinking in the ITT to give it all. Froome handled it well, even with the Landa plot :D

Bardet: "I've did everything I could. I made the race."

Froome was simply stronger. Bardet tried at least, not like Uran...

Bardet actually beat Froome on the road by 16 seconds. Uran did, too. I'd say all three were pretty equal except for time trial.

How bad will Valverde feel atm? He could have won this race. Froome is nowhere near his level of the past years.

It's just that the competition is at a low now. I have never seen such poor rivalry since .... i don't know really :(

Uran can grind pretty well but can't accelerate. And he can't grind well enough to drop the elite GC riders.

That's how I see it, at least.

He'll take his chances in the ITT; he can get second if he does well. And maybe he wins the lottery?

Absolutely crazy to see kwiat pull off and have to stop. At that intensity nobody is doing anything flashy
