It looks Quintana just doesn't improve anymore. He last really strong GT was in 2015, when he really owned Froome in the Alps.

Even in the Vuelta of last year, he wasn't that impressive. He was good, but he won that bike race because of Contador. Without his crazy attack on the Formigal stage, Quintana wouldn't have dropped Froome. Not by his own strenght.
