It already is with Sagan's unfair DQ, the crashes and other things going on. Thankfully Aru didn't crash, though if Froome did that on purpose, it's pretty low. Lower than Aru attacking when Froome had a puncture.
Remember when Contador tried to attack on the col jallabert descent but went off the road in 2013 and Froome had a hissy fit afterwards about how this was illegitimate and no one is allowed to crash in front of him. Walsh backed Froome, but the rest of the cycling world didn't - saying you are allowed to attack in cycling.
Anyway, that incident suggests Froome is enough of a hot head to do something like this.
What do you think Aru could have responded to Froome if he's been willing to attack at such a moment?
Something worth of disciplinary measure, probably.
Froome accidentally unclipped that's the reason for his movement but whatever.
Don't really know if that's a given or not. May also depend on the kind of injury. Also think Contador broke mentally. Another year gone. The Hitch said:Red Rick said:One of those things that are impossible to prove or disprove. "Contador, it transpires, received a heavy blow to the knee in the same crash that saw Thomas abandon. The Spaniard also hit the deck when Nairo Quintana bumped into him on the Grand Colombier. In the end, he fell away on the Mont du Chat and lost 4:19."
But usually its the day after a crash you struggle more no?
Like Samu broke his wrist on Tourmalet but still beat Menchov. The day after he struggled.

Good job Juraj
Looks as if he's simply cutting Aru off.luckyboy said:

Exactly the same way Benotti tried to spread that Froome headbutted Aru..

It would be a nice precedent. These guys get an advantage outside the rules compared with the ones who battled hard to stay in the limit. Isn't there some caveat in the rules though that the organisers can use their discretion if there is a big group?Screecher said:I really hope they throw all the riders outside the time limit out of the race. They forced the rules on Sagan so i don´t see a reason why they wouldn´t do so here.

Commentators on norwegian television talking about only 6 guys comming in after the time limit (Trentin, Sagan, Demare + 3 more FDJ riders). I have no idea if they are correct or not.
Organisers are allowed to make exceptions if more than 20% of the field would be outside the time limit. As far as i know.DFA123 said:It would be a nice precedent. No reason not to kick them out then.Benotti69 said:FjPavels said:Benotti69 said:That’s it guys. Official #TDF2017 starts with 125 riders Tuesday but we know how organizations know the rules

Yup, and invariably they do, to the point where the péloton feels that as long as they get enough of them there they don't have to try because the organizers won't dare remove them, as evidenced by the Formigal stage last year where the riders soft-pedalled all day at a laughably slow speed and some riders (I forget who, main culprit was an American iirc but not sure and don't want to blame the wrong rider) saying that we fans should be grateful the riders managed to organize something for themselves to make sure they weren't kicked out of the race.DFA123 said:It would be a nice precedent. silvergrenade said:It's official. The French champion, off the back from KM0, has failed to finish within the time cut. His FDJ teammates Delage, Guarnieri, and Konovalovas, who accompanied him over the climbs, are also out. A blg blow for the French team, whose race now depends on Pinot.
