Forgive my ignorance of inter-peloton drama and vendettas, but why would Quintana intentionally take out Contador?

There's absolutely no reason why he would.
Sure by all accounts he's an ass, but he's not violent. It's just fans overreacting in the moment.

If you were going to intentionally hit someone off their bike, would you do it with tens of fans standing around? I wouldn't.

If he at one point during the race thought "hell lets hit berto off" then not but if you in the heat of the moment lost your head then you wouldnt care.

Sky need to keep the MJ
"Need" is overstating it. I'll give you that they "may want to", but I don't think that would necessarily be smart of them.

Matthews pulling a Sagan?
It woul be great if Michael could beat Kittel and Demare for green.
Unfortunatealy we can not see Sagan going for all these mountain breaks. This year he prooved he could climb with best.

I'm pretty sure he was held up by Contador's crash, no idea where the idea that he caused it came from.

Of course it Wasn't intentional if that is what happened!! Just misjudged.... who said it was intentional??? All we have is some commentators words and a very unclear view of what happened.

Why don't Sky put Henao at the front instead of Kwiatkowski, who is clearly stronger at the moment?

Funny how, in the space of two years, Quintana has gone from being one of the most likeable riders on this forum to one of the most hated.
