To the headbutt gate it looks for certain Froome tries to push Aru off the road. Wheter its with head or elbow doesnt matter since its beyond dangerous riding.

No doubt DQ right there.
just re watched it on ITV and froome has a problem and when he comes of the bend he raises his right hand to apologise to Aru...

Strangely having just watched it on ITV I agree with David Millar who saw it as an elbow.

Any updates on Nieve?
Haven't heard anything, but looked okay crossing the finish line, and still finished 13th despite his crash. Plus; he has three days to recover before the next climbing stage, so should be okay

I couldn't see but the fact Aru hasn't brought it up tells us everything we need to know...some are needing to calm down

Or maybe in tomorrows press conference. Okay?

He raised his hand and may have said something. Could have been an apology. Could also have been a dismissive 'don't mess with me' gesture.

I am simply pointing out an alternative interpretation of Froome's gesture post incident. You obviously feel entitled to exonerate him for the coming together based on viewing ITV despite the commentary not supporting you. I respect your right to do so. I should surely have the right to point out an alternative view of the aftermath without being called a liar.

I rarely post in here, but usually read through the comments to have a good laugh after I've watched the stage. But today I have to say that the trolling, rider insults and pure hatred has reached an all time low. The moderators on here really need to get a grip and stamp this sort of vile behaviour out .

He put his hand up straight after the coming together and then again after looking around, very much looks like a 'sorry' to me. There are plenty of other hand signals he could have used for a 'don't mess with me'.

Wow LRP has broken collarbone and pelvis! Get well soon!!!
“X-rays confirmed a non-displaced right clavicle fracture and a non-displaced right acetabulum fracture. Richie also suffered extensive superficial abrasions involving the right side of his body. At this stage, the injuries will not require surgery. The plan is to re-evaluate Richie tomorrow morning and confirm that he is stable enough to be transferred home.”

Collarbone shouldn't be a problem long term. It's the acetabulum that may end up being really nasty. Don't really know that much about those kinds of injuries.

I'm guessing the Vuelta is out of question?

It looks that way, he'd have to have a month completely off the bike for it to heal so he'd go into the Vuelta with virtually no training at all. That's if it even heals in time, some are saying at least 6 weeks.

One of the more eventful stages in recent grand tour history, the past couple of days have really livened the tour up for better or worse. Sadly, looking at the remaining stages, there are basically only 1 and half stages in which someone can take time from Froome on a climb. They are going to have to start getting creative.
