There is a noticeable jump in wind gusts between 16:00 and 17:00 today looking at the most high res model I ve looked at. This chart suggest 1hr wind gusts between 30-40kmh

Not from an optimal direction though (sideways to the front), and fully against the last kms.
Wind picking up does mean peeing gets more difficult, so better do it know. D-QS obviously aware of this.
 
I'm expecting echelons with 40k to go... Is that possible??
Looking at route map cross winds are possible more after they reach Rochefort until about La Rochelle which is a good 40km stretch of the road. Winds should increase as furter on the stage, speed is high today maybe because they want to avoid strongest period of gusts between 17:00 and 18:00
