I think he got blocked by Morkov and couldn't move any sooner unless he went around Morkov. Even then, he didn't gain much on Bennett after being able to go for it.Very bad timing from Ewan. He should have won that.
Maybe just didn't have the legs?Very bad timing from Ewan. He should have won that.
Bennett taking green should really heat that race up. I imagine Sagans team will put in better efforts to lead him out. Happy for Bennett, he’s super emotional obviously great for him.
Still overall crap stage. No breaks, hours of racing for a couple minutes of contested sprints and the rest was a useless parade with minimal hard riding. May as well have a couple bikini clad women in lead cars so we’ve got something interesting to look at.

For the flattest stage of this Tour, not a bad stage at all.
I really hate Eisel. He talks some nonsense
ITV were saying it was more of a headwind there. You could see guys getting back on pretty easily there.Jumbo were in absolute perfect position on that bridge with 6 or 7 guys, then decided not to drill it. Really weird decision
Crying in the interview for such a prominent rider shows the win means a lot to him. Riding as second or third sprinter in a team for most of his career, this has come very far. There was so much pressure on him as the main sprinter in QS to follow the footsteps of Viviani, Vettel, Cav etc. Congrats Sam. Finally did it.
Brian Holm on Danish Eurosport interrupted his speech, wondering what the hell he was on about. I had the same wonderings...
Quit cycling. Watch fashion runway could be a new hobby.Still overall crap stage. At least they are both German.Vettel? I missed that.
Faster than a formula 1 car Sam isVettel? I missed that.

He was always near the end of the bunch durning most of the stage, I guess he had a bad day/bad legs.Nah, didn't really gain much when he was out in the wind. He needed to be the one who had the leadout to win today.
