So what happens? Quickstep agree to not try and get Bennett back on, and Bora get to control the pace to the finish without having to drill it too hard?

Ewan et al will presumably make it back to the Bennett group.

Will Alaphilippe and others in the front group have a free hand to go for the stage?

Alaphilippe to attack, van Aert to go with him, van Aert to outsprint him. Seen that before :smirkcat:
Will Hirschi go with them?
Im regretting picking Bettiol for this stage, but someone like him, or Mads Pederson, or Soren Kragh could get a gap over the final hill and make it that last couple of kms.

Van Avermaet is running out of stage chances. It's today and next Friday and that's it.

Just tune back in. When/where was Bennett dropped? Not with Ewan, was he?
Yesterday's disappointment, today's fire for Bora, interesting to see how this one will turn out.

Are they riding this hard to maybe get Ewan to miss the time limit?

He is 14 minutes behind apparently right now

Ewan was dropped waaay back, Bennett was dropped on the Cat 2. His team tried to bring him back for an hour or so, then gave up.

They should stop handing out double points on finishes, no attacker believes they can beat Roglic/Pogacar it seems.
