My likely scenario is Bora rip the legs off everyone trying to get Sagan clear of Bennett for the intermediate then the climbers move up and a srong but GC insignificant break forms that goes to the line over 8 minutes ahead. Pog and Rog to surge on the final kicker and grab another 10 seconds or so on the best of the rest.

I don't think Dumoulin will do anything more than the necessary this tour. I think his form is rounding nicely and he'll focus on winning the Vuelta. (He is doing the Vuelta, right?)

If he can combine it with Worlds and the Ardennes I'd be fine with it.

Because there are only 23 pts available and in reality it will be very difficult to get more than half of them when the stage hunters attack the Cat 1. 60 and 47 pts on the following two days. Cosnefroy could try today because realistically where else can he score ? But everyone else is probably better off saving their energy for the days when it will be decided
