Sagan gets a lot of critic and he surely isn't near where he has been for years but Bora is also pretty weak this Tour. He had like 4 riders who could make the race hard for him - Oss, Pöstlberger, Mühlberger and Großschartner. Two are gone. Schachmann was rather going into breaks than riding behind but didn't have the form, Kämna did the same butactually had the form. Buchmann was really useless for any situation (one could have at least hoped for some recovery, so he gets into a break or is at least of use for the team).
Watch Bol or Ewan winning the stage, and them regretting that decision.
They didnt really get a big enough gap and it would have cost a lot to sustain.

I disagree, when Pedersen made the break, Lotto was the only team to reel them in.
Wouldn't make sense for the whole QS team to drag Sagan and Trentin all the way to the finish. Even if they'd be guaranteed of Bennett finishing to 4.

His team did everything they could and full-comitted to him on several hard stages and just drilling it. Cant really expect more than that from a team IMO

I agree. Oss and Pöstlberger in particular have been very strong but the whole team has worked very hard for Sagan

DQS have the wrong rider up front now in a dangerous group. Once again, questionable tactics. Bora are even worse off.

I think they did great on several occasions and basically controlled the whole stage, only to realize Sagan isnt the Sagan of 2016.
Technically 70 points (20 intermediate, 50 stage) available on Sunday, so not yet.
